I can't watch horror movies any more.

Tried to but I just can't.

So I started to think about it and the thoughts suggested that I'd just had my fill, that I had gotten into horror movies as a way of avoiding having to grow up in a way and avoid all the terrifying things that come with growing up like talking to girls and makin friends and being human - getting hurt and hurting others and healing, taking chances and risks and learning that not everyone thinks...

Well, since no one seems to object to me being here, I'll introduce myself:

Aeon is my screen name, but I also go by an old family name - Vocatus. I live on the left coast and am a Scientist (genetic engineer) by trade. I'm a REALLY old member of this board (back when Lila/Lillith) ran it 10 years ago. miss those days.

I'll pre-empt Bonnie and mention why I'm interested in this boards 'dark chambers': To learn more about myself...

Hey Bonnie! I like the new theme here at Lilith's Lair. I 'peeked in' a while back and found a cloud-theme...this is Much better.

I was hoping with the emergence of 'everything' vampire lately, Lilith's Lair would finally begin to morph back into its once shining beacon for those who love the goth world and all it entails! I for one am a Huge 'Twiight' fan!...

For once a post with nothing to do with vampires or werewolves, however, it is a TV series based on a serial killer - supposedly dead and is also mutating nto a convoluted who-dunnit. Iwas wonder ing if anyone else ha seeen it and their thoughts thereof?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

For those of you who love the Harry Potter series, I saw the movie today with my 15 year old son and his friend. They, of course, did not sit with me, being teenagers. Not having read the book, but having seen all the other movies, I found this one to be quite enjoyable and sad as well. Can't wait for the next one. I hear that the last book will be split up into two movies.

Have you noticed all the series of books that are out now since the Twilight Saga was printed? You have The Vampire Diaries (I think there are 4 or 5 books right now) and another being by P.C. Cast called The House of Night Series (which has 5 books so far). Another great series author is J.R. Ward who write the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I could go on and on. I am in total vampire bliss right now! I would recommend reading all of these. Definitely my summer reading pile!

So I was part of this site a LOOOONG time ago. Dropped out of sight when I hit a huge roadblock in my writing. I came back at one point but hid a roadblock again. Now im back lol to one more time attempt my writing. Posting small things on here has always been helpful so heres hoping I dont hit a roadblock again.
